Energy & Infrastructure Transactional Staff Attorney — Houston

About the role

An Am Law 50 global firm is hiring a Staff Attorney for its Energy and Infrastructure team in Houston. This is a non-partner-track role with real responsibility and direct partner contact on sophisticated matters. The role • Structured energy transactions: drafting and negotiating principal and ancillary documents and running deal execution. • Energy finance and commodities trading: coordinating diligence, advising on structure and supporting negotiations. • Power purchase agreements and other commercial deals across power, renewables, natural gas and upstream oil and gas. • Own workstreams, coordinate specialist colleagues, deal directly with clients and manage closings and post-closing matters with growing independence. What we are looking for • A JD from an accredited law school and admission to the Texas Bar. • 3+ years of transactional experience, ideally in energy, infrastructure, project development, commodities or energy finance; other strong transactional backgrounds will be considered. • Precise drafting and issue-spotting, strong organisation and the ability to run several matters at once. • A team-oriented approach. • Please include a cover letter and law school transcript with your CV.
